David Ciucevich enjoys a varied, fulfilling life and career as a musician. A native of Savannah, GA, he holds MM and BM degrees in clarinet from the University of Northern Colorado and Georgia Southern University respectively. His principal clarinet teachers include Mark Nuccio of the New York Philharmonic and Bill Jackson of the Aspen Festival. He is instructor of clarinet at the Cady School of Music and has nearly 30 years of professional experience as an orchestral musician and soloist. As a singer, Mr. Ciucevich recently served as tenor soloist and section leader of the Chancel Choir of First Presbyterian Church in Albany, NY. He was recently a soloist in the Verdi Requiem and the Beethoven Missa Solemnis. He has extensive professional chamber choir experience in both Philadelphia and New York City. Mr. Ciucevich is a voice student of Heidi Skok and coaches with Michael Clement. In addition, he holds a MM in musicology, writes program notes for orchestras, has written liner notes for Naxos Records, and reviewed CDs for the American Record Guide. Mr. Ciucevich is also a cousin of the late beloved American lyricist and composer Johnny Mercer. Outside of music, he is passionate about reading, spirituality, and life.
