Irina Petrik

A newcomer to upstate New York, Irina Petrik is quickly gaining popularity as an in-demand voice and piano instructor, as well as an emerging Russian soprano in the Capital Region. Originally from the city of Kiev, Irina started out as a piano major. Later she became a cast member of a popular children's theatre “Skazka” and enjoyed traveling and performing all over former Soviet Union. She graduated with honors from the famous Glier Music College, after receiving a full 4-year scholarship to study Voice Performance from the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine as a winner of a nationwide vocal competition.

After coming to America, Irina continued to pursue her passion for music and is a recent graduate of San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She has performed with Kiev Youth Symphony, State Philharmonic of Ukraine, Russian Festival of the Bay Area, Atlanta Balalaika Society Orchestra and Lake George Opera. Irina is proud of her roots and, in addition to teaching voice technique, is pleased to offer Russian diction coaching to singers in her community.
